Eastern Washington's Trout and Warmwater Lakes
Liberty Lake Smallmouth Bass

The greater Spokane area is blessed with an abundance of relatively small to mid-sized, public trout lakes. Some of the best lakes are managed as selective fisheries and some are not. Amber Lake, Sprague Lake and West Medical Lake were especially productive last fall and Sprague Lake should have some great fishing for fat triploid rainbows this spring. We offer traditional trips from our drift boats or you can choose a float tube or pontoon boat for a more intimate experience. Chironomid fishing dominates most of the season but there is also plenty of opportunity for wet lines and leaches. The lake fishing in Spokane is best from ice out thru early summer and then again from mid September until the ice forms again in late fall.

There are several private lake operations that include accommodations in the Spokane area. We can also assist with reservations and provide guided trips on these exclusive properties.

A new addition to our guided offerings this year is Liberty Lake. It is located about half way between Spokane and the city of Coeur d’ Alene. Liberty Lake with its’ opulent surroundings and abundance of boat docks, can be a world class smallmouth bass fishery in late spring. It just doesn’t get much more enjoyable than throwing leaches and crawdad patterns at docks, for two to five pound smallmouth. As with all our full day guide trips, we provide our guests with all the necessary terminal tackle, beverages and a delicious lunch.
